The Al-Fullah station is to start production with the receipt of the tender envelopes from six companies, including General Electric of the United States, Harbin and Orgaina of China, Shellik and the Turkish bracelets, and CBI International Group applied for operating the station.
State Minister of Water Resources, Irrigation and Electricity, Ibrahim Hamad Ali Al-Tom said that the station will create a significant movement on the level of production and productivity thanks to the resources enjoyed by the State of West Kordofan, describing the receipt of envelopes tender as important step.
Al-Tom explained that the ministry's strategy aims to provide electricity to all the states of Sudan to the national network, especially in Greater Darfur, advertising delivery of electricity Abu Zabd by the end of this year as well as recommencement work in Babnousa stations and Adilah.
For his part, Dr. Abdul Rahim Issa Mohammed, head of the Electricity Division of the Energy Committee of the National Council, said that the electricity of Al-Fula remained a dream that extended for many years, pointing to the importance of energy in moving the production sectors, especially at the agricultural and industrial levels. Issa said that the Ministry of Electricity has adopted the implementation of vital projects, clearly in support of the country's national economy.
Eng. Abdul Aziz Hamed Al-Tayeb, general manager of the Thermal Generation Company, said that the Al-Fullah station will produce 450 MW through a dual cycle using the gas associated with the oil production operations in the region, pointing out the great role that the station will play in supporting the stability and expansion of the national electricity grid during the coming period.
